Featured are stamps #194 & 195, postmarked on the First Day of Issue 5 April 1982. These feature Native Birds found in this East African nation. The 1 Shilling stamp pictures the Secretary Bird. It is the sole surviving member of the Sagittariidae family of birds and is only found in Africa. The Kori (or Giant) Bustard, is depicted on the 5 Shilling stamp.
